Beautifully Designed E-cards

Click below for Jacquie's Card of the Month.
I fully appreciate the tactile feel of fine paper. I enjoy the thrill of receiving "real" mail. And I hope the true art of letter-writing is never lost. However, nothing beats the convenience of a beautifully designed e-card, the delight of good animation, or the instant gratification of clicking "send now" on the very day a forgotten birthday is remembered! (Check back often for new cards.)
All Jacquie's cards use Adobe Flash. Be sure of trouble-free viewing by downloading the latest version. It's free of charge and only takes a minute or two to install. Click here to install it now.
The Home & Garden Television Web Site
Click on the HGTV logo below for tons of information, photos, tools, and tips about home improvement, design, real estate, and gardening. Also, details from episodes seen on television can be found here and viewers can post their own design solutions.
Martha Stewart
Some love her, some hate her. But I defy anyone to deny she offers excellent information on all things home and garden for those who value gracious entertaining and elegant, functional home design. Her Web site is full of tips, tables, templates, and recipes of all kinds.
Make a Favicon for Your Web Site
Click on the link at right for tools and info to give your site a signature look in tabs and favorites folders. (I got better results by removing the slash in the code before “favicon” and adding a closing tag.)
Where I work!
Loyola Press is a publisher of books, curriculum programs, and online services, "continuing the Jesuit tradition of service through the printed word" since 1912. This is where I have been lucky enough to work since 2000, being offered great projects and excellent learning opportunities in the Design and Production Department. Check out the site!
Random Acts of Guerrilla Gardening!?
Green spaces springing up overnight in formerly neglected public spaces—what a great concept! Featured here in CRAFT's blog, also check out Guerrillagardening.org, based in London, providing inspiration, tips, and a community forum. Their motto is "Let's fight the filth with forks and flowers." Visit the Guerrilla Gardening YouTube channel, to watch a great little interview featuring a guerrilla gardening 93-year-old grandmother. Inspirational!
